So, after waiting patiently for it to be time to leave, we got to the airport to find a 2-1/2-hour delay. Luckily, our upgraded tickets got us access to United's business lounge, where the chairs are comfy and there is coffee and food... soup and cheese and crackers. But I gotta say, United has to go some to reach the level of Icelandair's lounge. THAT is a luxury experience! Hot and cold dishes, full bar (self-serve!!), business center, showers, nap cubicles, etc. It would be easy to spend half a day there.
Not really much else to say tonight... We got to our guesthouse, took a nap, went out for a snack and a long walk in the brisk air (low 40s, but not raining, so it's summer...), took a nap, and met friends for dinner. Cafe Loki is as good as we remember. Lamb stew with dark rye bread...yum! Now it's bedtime. The cameras will come out tomorrow, I promise!
