Birds, Birds, Birds! (and a couple of critters...)

Nothing like a cabin in the woods to be able to see and hear lots of birds!  Many of these photos were taken from our porch, others while driving around the area.  We heard many more than we saw, including my favorite sound in the woods, the cuckoo.  And many small birds simply move too fast to photograph well.

We were well-served by a rocky outcrop near the porch, and a couple of evening rain showers that created a temporary watering-hole.
